Mrs. Cody

This year is my 12th year of teaching- I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade. I am National Board Certified Teacher and I hold a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Hood College as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from American University.
For fun, I enjoy running, reading historical fiction and spending time with my family. In Summer 2012, I went to Kenya and worked with my cousin on a charity he started there. It was an awesome experience, and I even got to feed a giraffe! If you'd like to learn more about my adventure, please check out my blog from that summer:Jambo Kenya!
I am the oldest of four siblings. I love pasta and need my morning coffee every day! I love fall, the Patriots and the Red Sox and cooking. Last Fall, I got married on October 11 and became Mrs. Cody!!!
My favorite part of teaching 3rd grade is all of the exciting projects we get to work on together! I am a passionate supporter of our rigorous curriculum and excited at all of the science and social studies it includes for my students. Please check back frequently to get classroom updates.
